Skill Players

Post by DFOLDMAN »

DF has been grabbing talent like SC folks grab milk, bread, eggs and toilet paper during a snowstorm.

On the offensive side of the ball, they’ve picked up a RB and 2 WRs … looks like along with a solid OL, DF has 2 good QBs, 4 RBs with potential, 2 TEs that are good blockers and promising receivers and 4 WRs that should be fun to watch.

Think DF has the potential to be a little more productive on the offensive side- how is everyone else looking on offense? Let us know.

weve picked up three running backs, three wide receivers, three dl, a linebacker and two players in an already loaded secondary also have a strong dl since coach birch is back to go along with a loaded ol and a versatile athlete that can play anywhere from linebacker, safety or rb. Not to mention an emerging h-back with a second one healing from acl surgery! see you on the 15th! ;)

Woodruff has, by some services, the #1 RB in SC for the 2027 class and is 6'1" 205 pounds. He has offers from South Carolina, VaTech, Florida, Tennessee, Florida State, and Liberty among others. Our other two backs are also solid and a nice change of pace. Our TE is 6'5" 240 and has 16 D1 offers currently. We have three fast receivers that are all returning starters, too. 16 total starters back from last year.

Should be a great season in the Druff despite the inevitable doubts from DFOLDMAN :D

Never doubting the kids or their talent...just the coaches and the outcome.

We know the Injuns have a fine store-bought team for this coming season. I suspect they will beat the Foxes in that scrimmage as several key DF starters will be just finishing up summer baseball and understandably a little rusty- BUT... revisit the Silver Foxes about October... In the past 15 seasons, DF has played in the title game 12 times and have won 9, including 8 of the last 9 titles... If I am Vegas, I like those odds.

Last season, according to MaxPreps, the top 5 teams' strength of schedules were 1. DF 2. Spartanburg 3. Irmo 4. Chapin and 5. Northwestern. I think DF's schedule is about the same and of course the scrimmage with the Injuns will be good for them, win or lose. Stay healthy and listening to Coach Knotts and his staff- Just have to wait and see what happens...never know what teenagers will do. haha.

How's your OL coming along? I know when I talked to your coach after the Pville game he mentioned losing valuable linemen.

Man I'm just hoping we're competitive this year, and hoping we don't lose any transfers to those pesky Rebels.
